What happens when two Danish companies collaborate? A beautiful and modern city bicycle is created. To celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Series 7 Chair, Fritz Hansen teamed up with Danish bicycle brand Velorbis to design and produce a bike and coordinating bicycle bags. The partnership showcases both companies’ shared passion for craftsmanship, materials and aesthetic. It also highlights Danish design and cycling culture, two of several attributes Denmark is known for.
The collaboration was a win-win for both brands. For Fritz Hansen, it was about the ability to partner with a like-minded business and introduce a new perspective to customers. For Velorbis, it was a huge honor to work with the prestigious furniture company. Kenneth Bødiker, co-owner of Velorbis, says, “A well-designed bicycle is a piece of contemporary furniture, which deserves to be displayed on your wall at home, to be admired by yourself and your guests, complementing your other designer furniture.”
The limited-edition Arrow Seven 60 bike is composed of a hand-built brazed frame that features a bespoke Fritz Hansen brown. There is a spectrum of other complementary features including a leather emblem, copper bell, leather-bound toe clips and high-gloss stainless steel mudguards.
